"Whistle Stop Cafe and Downtown Saluda" Mural

On the eastern side of Saluda Gem Mine Wicks & Wares, Saluda, NC

2014

An earlier mural with a similar perspective was painted by Tim in 2005 at this location, but was unfortunately painted over during renovations. The owner felt that the original mural, beloved by the town and visitors, needed to be revived. The cars and buildings are depicted in the mid-1930s style.

"Saluda Grade Train Approaching" Mural

On the western side of Salamander, Saluda, NC

2004

Originally painted for Frank's Front Porch Coffee Bar. Depicts a train approaching Saluda across the Saluda Grade. Bushes and gravel were added around the base of the mural to enhance the effect.
